Singer-songwriter Alas de Liona has released her highly anticipated second album, 'Gravity of Gold', today under her own label, Deli Owner Records, in collaboration with Absolute Label Services. The album, featuring 11 tracks, marks a pivotal moment in her artistic development, showcasing a blend of indie-pop and alt-rock influences that reflect her ethereal vocal style and introspective songwriting.

Alas de Liona recorded the album with her live band and producer Rod Jones, who is known for founding the Scottish rock band Idlewild. The recording took place at Post Electric Studios in Leith, Edinburgh, late last year. The lyrical themes of the album delve into the complexities of human emotions such as memory, loneliness, and self-discovery, all couched in lighter, catchy melodies with empowering elements.

With tracks transitioning from upbeat indie-pop to darker art-pop nuances, the album opens with '19.3', followed by the lead single 'Analogy', which underscores her introspective approach. The second single, 'Violet', embodies her knack for creating vibrant tunes with profound underlying messages. Other highlights include the upbeat 'Vine Song' and the gritty commentary of 'Promises' on modern anxieties and social media pressures.

To celebrate the release, Alas de Liona will perform a headline show on September 19th at Cabaret Voltaire in Edinburgh, where she will be joined by her full band. Following that, another show is scheduled for September 26th at The Old Hairdressers in Glasgow. She continues to expand her presence in the UK music scene, having supported notable acts such as Rufus Wainwright and Sister Sledge this past year.

'Gravity of Gold' is available now for streaming here and the lead single 'Vine Song' can be listened to here.
