Asaph Recording Studios, located in Houston, is on the lookout for a part-time audio engineer to join their team. This role is crucial as the studio aims to maintain a professional atmosphere while catering to a growing number of artists in the local music scene. This opportunity is strictly for those proficient in using Pro Tools and who specialize in 'in the box' mixing.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong expertise in hip hop, RnB, and pop genres, as these are the primary styles of music the studio focuses on. Additionally, applicants should have at least five years of professional mixing experience, along with the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Communication skills are essential for this position, as the audio engineer will need to interact with clients directly, set up sound equipment, prep sessions, and ensure a comfortable recording atmosphere. Having a "go-getter" attitude is encouraged, as is social engagement, given that the engineer will be involved with various clients.

This position is offered on a contract basis, with pay starting from $30.00 per hour, and the expectation of working at least 25 hours a week. Asaph Recording Studios is keen on finding someone who can commit to at least two days a week, with more flexibility as the business expands. Interested applicants must send samples of their previous work and be ready to discuss their mixing and mastering processes.
