ASM Global is currently on the lookout for a Sound Engineer / Audio Technician to join their Production Team and provide premier sound reinforcement for events. This position reports to the Production Manager and Assistant Production Managers, requiring the successful applicant to take on various responsibilities related to audio management and event production.
Key duties include serving as the primary audio engineer and board operator for events, troubleshooting and repairing audio equipment, as well as installing and striking audio gear as needed. Additionally, the technician will inspect all audio equipment for effectiveness, provide support for various shows, and may need to work extended hours, including nights and weekends.
To qualify, candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, along with 2-5 years of related experience in audio engineering practices. Skills necessary for the role include advanced knowledge of audio systems, effective organization and prioritization, and the ability to maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work flexible hours based on event schedules. Certification such as Dante Certification is a plus. This position is suitable for individuals with a passion for live sound and a willingness to work in dynamic environments.
