The role of the Audio Visual Engineer involves developing low voltage system designs for a variety of projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Candidates will need to prepare detailed drawings and specifications using AutoCAD or BIM software, with Revit being the preferred choice. A strong understanding of materials, equipment, and technologies pertinent to low voltage systems is also essential.
To qualify for this position, applicants should have at least 2 years of experience in designing or engineering low voltage projects, along with familiarity in submittal preparation and the ability to read blueprints. Experience with project management software and subcontractor management is also required, and while it's ideal to have CTS/AVIXA certifications, it is not mandatory.
