Blur vs Oasis battle to be retold in new West End play
A new play titled 'The Battle' is set to debut in London's West End in 2025, highlighting the rivalry between Britpop bands Blur and Oasis during the 90s. Written by John Niven and produced by Simon Friend, the play will explore key events including the competition over chart dominance in 1995. Casting is underway for actors to portray the band members of that time, and while both bands have seen recent successes and reconciliations, no original members will participate in the production.
