Cher has officially withdrawn her request for a conservatorship over her son, Elijah Blue Allman. In a hearing held on September 13 at the Los Angeles Superior Court, her lawyers confirmed that a private settlement had been reached between the family members. This decision comes after a lengthy legal dispute that began in December 2023 when Cher first applied to take legal control over Allman's financial and personal affairs. Cher expressed her concerns regarding Allman’s capacity to manage his finances due to prior substance abuse and mental health issues.

Despite filing for two temporary conservatorships which were denied earlier this year, the situation escalated when Allman himself objected to his mother's request, asserting that he did not need a conservatorship. He also questioned whether Cher would be a suitable conservator. The case saw a pause in proceedings in May 2024 as efforts were made to resolve the family dispute privately through mediation.

In other news regarding Cher, there are ongoing discussions for her to take the legendary slot at the Glastonbury Festival in 2025, with plans for a few headline shows in the UK around the same time. Additionally, the music icon is set to release the first part of her two-part memoir, "Cher: The Memoir, Part One," on November 19, with the second part expected in the following year. Preorders for the memoir are available through major retailers. For further information, you can read more about Cher's conservatorship case on NME and check out details on her upcoming memoir here.
