Coldplay has officially revealed details for their upcoming stadium shows in London and Hull, representing the band’s only UK and European performances for 2025. Set for August 2025, the shows will also contribute 10% of proceeds to the Music Venue Trust (MVT), a move aimed at supporting grassroots music venues in the UK.

The announcement made on September 17, 2024, follows a teaser campaign using posters at Camden's Dublin Castle, the site of the band's first gig as 'The Coldplay'. The band has scheduled two concerts at Hull's Craven Park Stadium on August 18 and 19 before a series of performances at London's iconic Wembley Stadium, running from August 22 to 31.

Mark Davyd, CEO of MVT, emphasized the significance of Coldplay's support in preventing the closure of music venues across the UK. Referring to the financial contributions, he noted that it will assist in ensuring that communities maintain access to live music.

The booking agency WME, along with promoters SJM Concerts, Metropolis Music, and Live Nation, will also donate to the initiative. Additionally, the shows are set to incorporate eco-friendly practices, powered entirely by renewable energy sources collected at the venues.

Ticket sales will commence at 9 AM on September 27 for the general public, with pre-sale access available starting September 26 for fans who pre-order Coldplay's forthcoming album, "Moon Music", set to be released on October 4.

In a bid to enhance accessibility, 50% of tickets for the Hull shows will be exclusively available to local residents, emphasizing the band's commitment to community engagement. The planned production harnesses renewable energy, demonstrating Coldplay's ongoing efforts to lead an eco-conscious concert experience.

These initiatives coincide with the band's recent record-setting tour, which has already raised significant awareness regarding the operational challenges faced by smaller music venues, with a reported closure rate of two per week across the UK.
