Crowdfunder launched to get Ron Hardy documentary off the ground
A Kickstarter has been launched for a documentary titled 'I Was There: The Rise of House Music in Chicago' focusing on the life of Chicago house legend Ron Hardy. The film includes interviews with notable artists such as Jamie 3:26 and Robert Owens, exploring Hardy's impact on house music and the social issues surrounding the era. With no interviews or video footage of Hardy existing, the documentary aims to tell his story through the insights of fellow DJs and musicians. The creators are seeking to raise 50,000 to cover production costs.
