At a recent rally in Las Vegas, Donald Trump mistakenly referred to reggaeton singer Nicky Jam as a woman, leading to a surprising moment in the lead-up to the U.S. elections. On September 13, 2024, Jam made a notable appearance at the rally to show his support for Trump, who is running for president again in November.

While introducing Jam to the audience, Trump said, "Latin music superstar Nicky Jam. Do you know Nicky? She's hot. Where is Nicky?" This prompted some laughter before Jam approached the stage, leading Trump to quickly correct himself, saying, "Oh look, come here!" He then expressed his gratitude towards Jam by stating, "It's an honor to meet you, Mr. President. People that come from where I come from, they don't meet the president. So I'm lucky."

Jam responded to the incident light-heartedly, posting on Instagram a picture of himself with Trump, captioned in Spanish with a humorous twist: "Nicky Jam, la potra la bichota" (Nicky Jam is a fierce woman), adorned with multiple cry-laugh emojis.

This rally took place just weeks after Trump's campaign team triggered mixed reactions by releasing a t-shirt reminiscent of Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour' merchandise. The t-shirt features images of Trump and is marketed to supporters with a nod to Swift’s recent endorsement of Kamala Harris, a Democratic candidate. In a subsequent interview, Trump commented about Swift, asserting his lack of admiration for her and suggesting that she would face consequences for her political stance.
