Ceremony, a new 1000-capacity music venue and event space located in downtown Oakland, is preparing for its grand opening this fall. As it gears up to establish itself as a leading space for live music and events, Ceremony is looking for a Head Sound Engineer / Production Lead to join their team. This position is pivotal, requiring a skilled individual to ensure high-quality audio experiences for all performances.
Key responsibilities include serving as the primary Sound Engineer, leading production teams, and managing audio systems and gear. Candidates should have a minimum of four years of sound engineering experience in similar-sized venues, with proficiency in both A1 duties and live mixing. Moreover, leadership qualities and the ability to train new staff are highly desirable, ensuring that all productions run smoothly.
Additional tasks involve troubleshooting technical issues, guiding equipment maintenance, and assisting with scheduling to meet show demands. Candidates should be ready to work flexible hours as necessary, which includes night and weekend shifts.
