The Army National Guard is currently seeking passionate instrumentalists to join the Army Band as Band Musicians. This unique opportunity allows musicians to perform across various musical genres, including marching band, ceremonial band, concert band, classical, jazz, ethnic, and popular music. The role entails rehearsing and performing as part of different ensembles, ranging from solo acts to full concert bands.

Musicians will have the chance to specialize in a variety of instruments, such as tuba, trombone, euphonium, bassoon, saxophone, flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, percussion, cornet, trumpet, guitar, and keyboard. In addition to performance, the position offers valuable career skills such as private instrumental instruction, music theory, sight singing, and ear training.

One of the major benefits is the earned compensation during training, along with other financial incentives like the Montgomery GI Bill, student loan repayment, and health care benefits. Members can expect to earn between $200 to $250 per drill weekend, subject to change.

Requirements include being aged between 17 and 35 and having at least a high school diploma or GED, alongside passing a physical exam. Joining the Army Band represents a remarkable avenue for musicians looking to advance their careers and engage in rewarding performances with orchestras, bands, and choirs.
