George Harrison's acclaimed second solo album, Living In The Material World, is slated for a super deluxe edition release on November 15, 2024. This commemorates the 50th anniversary of the original album, first released in 1973. The release is being handled by Dark Horse Records/BMG and features an extensive array of content that emphasizes Harrison’s artistry.

The super deluxe edition is limited to 5,000 copies and includes the album on 2LP (180g) and 2CD set. It features a newly remixed version of the original album, along with a bonus disc of 12 previously unreleased early renditions of each track. A highlight of the package is a Blu-Ray containing all album tracks and additional previously unreleased recordings mixed in Dolby Atmos. An exclusive 7” single will feature a never-before-heard performance of "Sunshine Life For Me (Sail Away Raymond)" featuring members of The Band—Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, Rick Danko—and Ringo Starr.

Curated by Olivia Harrison and Rachel Cooper, the box set also includes a 60-page hardcover book filled with unseen images and memorabilia from the era, handwritten lyrics, studio notes, and tape box images. Notably, there is also a 12-page recording notes booklet sourced from the original production notes and session tapes.

Aside from the super deluxe edition, Living In The Material World will also be available in 2LP and 2CD deluxe editions, each offering new mixes and session outtakes, while the album will be released individually on CD, LP, and a limited edition colored vinyl variant.
For those interested in pre-ordering the Super Deluxe Edition, it is available here.

This anniversary reissue not only celebrates Harrison’s iconic work but also promises to introduce it to a new generation of fans.
