Hayley Williams of Paramore has confirmed that the band is actively developing new material. In a recent interview with Dork, she revealed that Paramore has been experimenting with various sounds that could feature on their upcoming album, which will follow their 2023 release, This Is Why. Before launching into their tour with Taylor Swift, the band recorded several demos that Williams described as surprising, drawing inspiration from The Sugarcubes, the band fronted by Björk.

During their time off from touring, the band utilized Hamburg's Clouds Hill studio. Williams shared that this new musical direction feels like an exploration into unfamiliar territory, stating it felt like “it was on the other side of the tracks” compared to their previous works. "But that excites me," she noted during the interview.

In addition to the band's progress, Williams indicated that she might pursue a new solo project, following her earlier works, Petals For Armor (2020) and Flowers for Vases/Descansos (2021). However, she emphasized her commitment to Paramore as her primary focus, asserting that "Paramore has always been the thing that I want to do the most." Reflecting on her solo endeavors, she expressed that they do not disrupt the band's dynamics, revealing, "I don't feel done with that at all."

Adding to the excitement, Paramore has recently collaborated with fashion designer Bug Girl to launch merchandise that will support Medical Aid for Palestinians. This partnership follows moments shared during their recent tour with Taylor Swift, where Williams was photographed wearing a modified version of Bug Girl's 'feminine rage' t-shirt.

Paramore has also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to open for Swift, highlighting how enjoyable the experience was. The band publicly congratulated Swift on her ongoing tour success, stating, "We truly fell in love with your whole crew. Congrats on one more leg of this giant, history-making tour. We love you!"
