Italy's paid music streaming subscription revenues jump 23% as local acts completely dominate charts
Italy's paid music streaming subscription revenues have seen a significant increase of 23%, with local acts dominating the music charts. The recorded music revenues in Italy also grew by 14.2% in the first half of the year, with 19 of the top 20 best-selling albums attributed to local artists. Additionally, there is concern regarding a recent decision by Meta to remove music by Italian songwriters from its platforms.
