Jane's Addiction has announced the cancellation of their remaining reunion tour dates following an on-stage altercation between lead singer Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro during a recent performance in Boston. In a statement shared on social media, the band expressed their decision to take some time apart as a group after a series of concerning incidents.

Farrell’s performance has been under scrutiny, especially after he struggled vocally during two outdoor shows in New York earlier in the week. According to reports, audience members at the Boston show voiced frustrations about the sound levels, which apparently exacerbated tensions on stage. This culminated in a physical confrontation during the song 'Ocean Size,' where Farrell appeared to punch Navarro.

Bassist Eric Avery, alongside Navarro, addressed the ongoing issues in a post, expressing deep concern for Farrell's mental health and noting a continuous pattern of behavior that necessitated a halt to the tour. They stated, "Our concern for his personal health and safety as well as our own has left us no alternative. We hope that he will find the help he needs."

Farrell's wife, Etty Farrell, also weighed in on social media, shedding light on the heated atmosphere and timestamping the discontent leading to the altercation. She described the situation as charged, citing Farrell's struggles with tinnitus and a sore throat throughout the tour.

As a result of these events, Jane's Addiction will not be performing in Bridgeport, CT, as previously scheduled. The band has expressed sincere apologies to their fans who purchased tickets for the shows. For further details, visit SPIN.
