Music Ministry International is currently looking for a skilled Catholic Musician to support the Catholic Music Program at Scott Air Force Base (SAFB). This part-time position operates under a 1099 contractor agreement. The role requires the musician to provide instrumental accompaniment during Sunday Masses, Holy Days, and other special services, ensuring that the Chapel programs are supported effectively.
Basic Qualifications
Candidates must have proficiency in at least one musical instrument, preferably the piano. Fluency in performing solos and congregational pieces is essential. The musician should be a practicing Roman Catholic, possess a good understanding of liturgical practices, and be in good standing with the Church. Ideally, candidates will have three years of experience in Catholic music or equivalent skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
The musician will be required to assist in planning the musical calendar, attend rehearsals, and accommodate Holy Days and special services throughout the Church year. Organizing and maintaining sheet music and hymnals, as well as providing personal arrangements for the choir, are also part of the role.
