The Juilliard School is currently seeking an experienced Audio Engineer to join its team. This position plays a vital role in the audio landscape of one of the most prestigious arts institutions in the world. The role comes with a diverse array of responsibilities that include engineering complex multitrack and live audio mixes for various types of performances, including opera, orchestra, jazz, and chamber music.
Candidates will have the opportunity to mix and master both multitrack and stereo recordings, ensuring that high-quality results are delivered across several digital outlets like web, radio, and social media. The position requires at least seven years of experience in media broadcast or live performance environments, showcasing a strong record of delivering exceptional recordings. The ideal candidate must also have proficient knowledge of ProTools and expertise in microphone and acoustic recording techniques across a range of genres.
In addition to standard responsibilities, the Audio Engineer will lead and collaborate on special projects within the newly renovated Recording Studio and support Juilliard's Media Production Department with technical AV systems and livestreaming setups.
