HONESTY described the album as an "organic collaborative effort", allowing multiple influences to shape its sound. According to the band, "This album became an organic collaborative effort at sounding like passing the aux cable around at an afterparty." They expressed their desire for listeners to feel free to navigate through a unique map of soundscapes, while still having a clear reference point with the album's title, 'U R HERE'.
One highlight from the album is the single 'MEASURE ME', which features a blend of opaque electronics wrapped around indie elements, showcasing both experimental and melodic qualities. The track features vocals from artist Softlizard, with the accompanying video created by *UNCANNY. HONESTY shared that 'MEASURE ME' emerged as one of their first collaborative tracks, with lyrical contributions from Liza, inspired by a vivid dream about self-reflection and existential ponderings. The thematic emphasis on measurement and introspection adds depth to the song's intricate sound design.
