Liquid Church Seeks Experienced Audio Engineer

Liquid Church, a rapidly growing multisite church, is on the lookout for an experienced audio engineer to manage live sound for its weekend services. With seven campuses and full contemporary worship teams, the church provides a dynamic 70-minute service experience that includes live music, a sermon, and video components. The worship team typically features a full drum kit, a variety of guitars, keyboards, bass, backing tracks, and multiple vocalists.

The role of the audio engineer is crucial, ensuring that front-of-house sound quality is top-notch every Sunday. They will work under the Worship Experience Pastor, closely interacting with the Music Director, Production Director, and Technology Director. While the primary responsibility lies on Sundays, additional opportunities exist during rehearsals and special events.

Key responsibilities include mixing audio during services and rehearsals, setting up audio systems, and monitoring the quality of the church's live stream. Candidates are expected to have previous experience in a similar environment, familiarity with contemporary worship mixing techniques, and knowledge of audio equipment.

The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers. Contractors are expected to have flexible availability, particularly around key holidays such as Easter and Christmas. This part-time position pays $30 per hour, with an expected workload of 10-12 hours weekly.
