Matt Berry has announced the release of his brand new single, "I Gotta Limit," accompanied by the news of his forthcoming album titled Heard Noises, which will be available on January 24, 2025, via Acid Jazz. The single portrays the narrative of a man seeking a second chance with a woman who is growing impatient with his appeals.

Inspired by the sound of Sly & The Family Stone, the track features vocals from Kitty Liv, and showcases Berry's signature style. Following his 2021 album, The Blue Elephant, which highlighted his fondness for British psychedelia and late '60s pop, Heard Noises takes a different approach, leaning into sunny Californian psychedelia while still incorporating elements of space pop and rock.

In creating Heard Noises, Berry plays nearly all the instruments, including guitars, bass, and a variety of keyboards such as acoustic and Wurlitzer pianos, in addition to synthesizers like Moogs and Mellotron. He is joined by drummer Craig Blundell (known for his work with Steve Hackett and Steven Wilson) on this project. Moreover, notable guests contributing to the album are Natasha Lyonne from Pokerface, Eric D. Johnson from The Shins/Fruit Bats, and Matt's mother, among others.

Heard Noises will be offered in various formats, including a psychedelic swirl vinyl exclusive, Sky Blue Vinyl, and deluxe editions featuring bonus tracks. Fans are encouraged to pre-order the album now and can look forward to the vibrant soundscapes the album promises to deliver.
