New record shop, Agora, opens in downtown Los Angeles
Agora, a new record shop in downtown Los Angeles, opened on August 23 and is operated by members of the local MELT collective. The store features a variety of electronic music genres and both new and used vinyl. Plans are in place to transform Agora into a multi-purpose space for the artist community in the upcoming year. The branding was designed by Paul Nicholson, known for his work with Aphex Twin, and a specialized sound system was built by Dutch company Arda Audio. Agora operates on a limited schedule, serving the public from Tuesday to Friday, while weekends are reserved for private appointments.
