Pavement Summer Babe (Dir. Tanya Small)
Pavement has unveiled a long-lost music video for their 1992 single "Summer Babe," directed by Tanya Small. The video, filmed on 16mm and Super 8, has a storyline reminiscent of Grease but without a happy ending, exploring the contrasting lives of an indie rocker and a club kid. The footage was nearly lost, and the release features a version of the song from an unmastered cassette.
