Pharrell Williams and former Neptunes bandmate Chad Hugo are no longer on speaking terms
Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, formerly of The Neptunes, are no longer in contact after Hugo filed a lawsuit against Williams concerning the trademark of their production name. The lawsuit claims that Williams is attempting to unfairly gain control over the trademark without consulting Hugo. Despite the rift, Williams expressed his love for Hugo and fondness for their past work together. They have a long history of successful collaboration, having produced a significant share of music played on British and US radio, and their partnership is set to be highlighted in the upcoming LEGO biopic 'Piece by Piece', which showcases Williams' career and features various artists he has worked with.
