Phoenix, the French indie rock band, alongside Kavinsky and Angle, has announced an upcoming release of their collaborative remix of 'Nightcall,' which was performed during the 2024 Paris Olympics closing ceremony. The announcement came via Phoenix's official X/Twitter account, featuring an intriguing billboard image, set in Los Angeles, showcasing a red sports car with a giant phone sign above it. The billboard highlights both Kavinsky and Angle's names, suggesting their involvement in this much-anticipated remix.

The adrenalized engagement began with a phone number provided on the billboard: +1 (901) 673-5822. Fans calling this number are treated to a conversation between Thomas Mars, Phoenix's frontman, and Angle, preceding a snippet of the forthcoming track. "The song is ready, do you want to hear it?" Mars can be heard asking, to which Angle enthusiastically responds, indicating their excitement for the remix release.

Originally, 'Nightcall' gained widespread recognition during the closing ceremony when it broke the record for the most Shazamed song in a single day, accumulating over 6.9 million Shazams on the app. Produced with Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, this 2010 classic has had a substantial impact on the music scene, being featured in the title sequence of the 2011 film "Drive" and sampled by notable artists including Lupe Fiasco and Childish Gambino.

The artists’ collaboration at the Olympics further reinvents 'Nightcall,' signaling the potential for a fresh take on the electro-pop staple that has captivated many audiences since its debut. Fans eagerly await the release and have much to look forward to from this trio.
