Queen announce newly mixed, mastered, expanded reissue of debut album
Queen is set to release a newly mixed, mastered, and expanded reissue of their self-titled debut album 'Queen I' on October 25, 2024. This reissue will include alternative takes, demos, and rare live tracks, representing a brand new rebuild of the album with improved sound quality. The boxset contains six CDs and one LP featuring 63 tracks, including tracks that were previously omitted from the original release. Accompanying the release is a 108-page book containing handwritten lyrics and memorabilia. Brian May expressed that this revisited version captures the essence of how they envisioned the album originally, utilizing contemporary audio technology. The announcement comes on the heels of an update on May's health following a stroke earlier this year.
