RA to release award-winning Richie Weeks documentary, with screenings in London, New York and LA
Resident Advisor will host screenings of the documentary 'Taking Back The Groove' about disco artist Richie Weeks, whose song 'Rock Your World' topped dance charts in the '80s. The London premiere will include a Q&A with Weeks and director Celia Aniskovich. The film highlights the struggles of Black artists reclaiming their music rights and features contributions from Wu-Tang's Raekwon and comedian Russell Peters. Following the premieres, the documentary will also be screened at a film festival in Los Angeles.
