Razorlight have revealed their latest single, "Zombie Love," marking the third release from their forthcoming album, "Planet Nowhere." This track embodies a vibrant indie spirit, featuring catchy melodies and jangly guitar riffs that are characteristic of the band's sound. Frontman Johnny Borrell's lyrics delve into the complexities of a tumultuous romantic relationship, exemplified by provocative lines like, "You're not the only cowgirl that I ever went down on / But you're the only love I had to walk out on."
In a press release, Borrell highlighted the significance of this single, noting that it represents the first collaboration with drummer Andy Burrows since the band's reunion. Borrell drew inspiration from a diverse array of artists, aiming to fuse styles reminiscent of Outkast, Beck's "Midnite Vultures," and The Pixies.
This upcoming record, "Planet Nowhere," is set to be released on October 25 and will be their first featuring the classic lineup of Borrell, guitarist Bjorn Agren, drummer Andy Burrows, and bassist Carl Dalemo since 2008. Borrell shared his surprise at the band's resurgence and conveyed hope that fans will embrace the new material.
