Rock acts shut out of the Super Bowl halftime show for the ninth year in a row
Rock acts have been excluded from the Super Bowl halftime show for the ninth consecutive year, with Kendrick Lamar set to perform at the upcoming Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. The last rock act to headline the show was Coldplay in 2016. Jay-Z's Roc Nation continues to produce the event.
