Saint Abdullah & Eomac on Drowned By Locals
Saint Abdullah, an Iranian-Canadian duo, and Irish producer Eomac reconnect to create an album responding to the ongoing genocide in Gaza. The album, recorded shortly after the onset of the conflict, incorporates their Persian heritage and cultural experiences using elements like sampling and field recordings. Titled 'Light meteors crashing around you will not confuse you', the album blends hip-hop influences with emotional narratives surrounding the Middle Eastern experience. Proceeds from the release will support UNRWA's humanitarian efforts in Palestine.
