Nigerian Afrobeat artist Seun Kuti, alongside his band Egypt 80, has released their latest single titled "Stand Well Well" in anticipation of their upcoming album Heavier Yet (Lays The Crownless Head). Set to drop on October 4, 2024, the new track is the third single preceding the album's release.

"Stand Well Well" features a vibrant, horn-driven Afrobeat arrangement that includes intricate guitar licks, energetic drums, and organic African percussion elements, adhering to the expected allure of the genre. Thematically, Seun Kuti pulls influence from Aldous Huxley's landmark novel Brave New World, exploring the often monotonous and distracting elements of daily life that lead us away from our true purpose. The artist expresses a message of authenticity, underscoring the necessity to prioritize meaningful pursuits over the allure of fame and societal expectations.

In a statement revealing his artistic motivation, Seun Kuti remarked, "Everything in the world today looks the same. Everybody just likes the same stuff, does the same things. The world is kind of reminding me of Aldous Huxley's 'Brave New World.'" Kuti's previous works with Egypt 80 include acclaimed albums such as Many Things (2008), From Africa with Fury: Rise (2011), and the Grammy-nominated Black Times (2018).

Fans can connect with Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 through multiple social platforms and stay updated on the highly anticipated album. More information is available on their official site.
