As Slipknot celebrates the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Shawn "Clown" Crahan reflections on the changes in the band dynamics throughout the years. In a recent interview with Metal Hammer, Crahan acknowledged that the bond the band shared in 1999 has significantly faded, stating, "Brother, the band will never be like that again." He added, "I can't tell you how close we were then: we're not that close anymore. People are gone. Craig's out. Chris is out, Joey's out, Paul's out. The band is different." Crahan's remarks come in light of the numerous lineup changes the band has experienced, including the tragic passings of founding members Paul Gray and Joey Jordison, and the more recent departures of percussionist Chris Fehn and keyboardist Craig Jones.

Despite these changes, Crahan remains optimistic about the future of Slipknot, revealing the band feels revitalized and ready to embrace new horizons. He noted, “This band has never been happier, and that takes a lot because we've been through a lot — drugs, women, money, fame, ego, isolation. But we are on track.”

Currently on their 'Here Comes The Pain' tour in North America, which features a full performance of their self-titled debut album, the band is set to continue their celebration with a UK and European tour starting December 5, 2024, in Amsterdam and concluding on December 20 at London's O2 Arena. In addition to touring, Crahan also expressed his aspiration for the band to perform at the 2028 Olympic Games.

Slipknot also faces additional challenges, with frontman Corey Taylor making adjustments to his touring schedule for personal well-being and DJ Sid Wilson recovering from burns received in an accident. If you wish to check out the band on their tour, tickets are currently on sale through various platforms.
