Asolo Repertory Theatre, a renowned professional theatre in Florida, is currently seeking a Sound Operator (A1) to join their production team. This position is key in ensuring the success of live performances, requiring the operator to mix live audio, balance levels, and ensure clarity throughout the shows. The role is designed for individuals residing in the community and encompasses a full season commitment from October to June.

The ideal candidate will not only serve as the primary sound board operator during rehearsals and performances, but will also collaborate closely with the Sound Designer and directors to implement sound designs effectively. Responsibilities include programming the sound board for various performances and troubleshooting the sound system before each show. This is a union position under IATSE Local 412, providing a competitive pay rate of $24.00 per hour, with a 40-hour guarantee plus overtime, and benefits through the union.

Candidates should possess a solid understanding of show control playback, setup of wireless microphones, and have familiarity with current equipment used within the industry.
