Fast-rising Bristol rockers Split Dogs have unveiled a new video for their single 'Monster Truck,' heralding the release of their eagerly awaited debut album, Here To Destroy, set to drop on February 28 through Venn Records. The track, described by guitarist Mil Martinez as focused on personal resilience, conveys the theme of pushing through challenges while embracing positivity.

"'Monster Truck' is about lessons learnt, seeing it coming but you keep on trucking. Focus on yourself and the good stuff around you. Be strong, lead with an open heart. Don't take kindness for weakness. You better not tread on me!" stated Martinez.

The video, directed by Chris Hugall, showcases a collaboration with Big Pete Ltd featuring actual monster trucks. In his remarks, Martinez expresses enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "When we wrote our new single 'Monster Truck', it was a no-brainer that we had to find the best Monster Truck team in the UK to join us for the video. So on the hottest day of the year, we hit the road! Big rigs, big riffs, and big moves—it's time to grab your gear stick and get your mind out of the dirt!"

In addition to the video release, Split Dogs have announced an extensive tour beginning this month. They will perform at various venues, including a special concert at London’s Water Rats on November 6, supporting bands like Desperate Measures and Dead Fun. Their current tour schedule includes dates across the UK such as:

  • 13/9 Naughty Corner Festival, Mendips, Somerset
  • 14/9 The Peer Hat, Manchester
  • 15/9 The Cluny, Newcastle
  • 16/9 Rebellion, Manchester
  • 20/9 O2 Academy, Oxford
  • 22/9 O2 Academy, Islington
  • and more.
