The Cure has officially announced their upcoming album titled Songs Of A Lost World, marking the band's first studio release in 16 years. The excitement around this announcement peaked earlier this week when a poster featuring the album title was prominently displayed at The Railway Inn in Crawley, England, a venue that holds historical significance for the band, as it was the site of their debut performance back in 1978. Following the unveiling, fans flocked to the pub to celebrate after Aaron Law tweeted an image of the framed album poster on September 12.

In addition to the poster reveal, a fan meet-up is scheduled for September 14, highlighting the enthusiasm surrounding the new album. The Cure has also engaged their fanbase through personalized postcards confirming both the album title and its release date of November 1.

Earlier, on September 9, the band stirred speculation with updates to their social media profiles, which featured a new logo set against a stark black background. Guitarist Reeves Gabrels encouraged fans to explore their newly refurbished website and to subscribe to a mailing list for album updates.

As anticipation builds for the new release, fans can look forward to The Cure Novembre: Live in France 2022, a double A-side 12" Eco-Vinyl single featuring live recordings of And Nothing Is Forever and I Can Never Say Goodbye. This release, tracked during the band's Shows Of A Lost World tour, will support the climate charity Earth Percent.

Fans are eagerly awaiting new material and reflecting on the long hiatus since the release of 4:13 Dream in 2008. The upcoming album is expected to resonate deeply with listeners, marking a significant return to their roots. More details can be found at NME.
