The Postal Service are going on indefinite hiatus after their 'Transatlanticism/Give Up' tour ends

The Postal Service announced they are going on indefinite hiatus following their upcoming final show in Washington, DC. Ben Gibbard expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform their albums live and conveyed that the band's focus will shift towards Death Cab for Cutie, citing time commitments as a reason for the hiatus. The tour celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut album 'Give Up' and their collaboration with Death Cab for Cutie. Gibbard has also stated that a follow-up album for The Postal Service is unlikely due to the pressure and expectations it would entail.
