On September 16, former members of the Wonder Girls, Sunye, Yubin, and Sunmi, took the stage together for the first time in years at a celebration commemorating the 30th anniversary of JYP Entertainment founder J.Y. Park's debut. This special event aired as part of KBS’s DDanddara project, showcasing various artists under the K-pop label.
The trio performed some of their most iconic hits, including the groundbreaking 2008 single "Nobody," which made history as the first song by a Korean artist to chart on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 2009. The performance resonated with fans, vividly featuring the infectious chorus: "I want nobody, nobody but you."
In a memorable twist, J.Y. Park himself joined the trio on stage to deliver two additional hits, "Tell Me" (2007) and "So Hot" (2008), complete with choreography that fans have cherished from the group's heyday.
Originally debuting in 2007 as a five-member group, the Wonder Girls quickly became a prominent name in K-pop. Sunmi, who earlier took a hiatus from the group for educational pursuits, rejoined to create a four-member lineup prior to their disbandment in 2017.
