Irish post-rock duo A Burial At Sea, hailing from Liverpool, has joined forces with renowned American musician, composer, and producer Peter Broderick. Their latest collaboration, titled "Boss Man Tony With His Big Heart," marks an exciting addition to both artists' catalogs. The partnership stems from a social media interaction between A Burial At Sea's Patrick Blaney and Broderick, with Blaney expressing his admiration for the prolific artist. "Myself and Peter met back in 2021," Blaney recounts. "I noticed he had moved to the UK, so I sent him a direct message to see if he needed a drummer for any projects. This interaction led us to rehearse for his album tour, influencing my career path significantly. " Initially, the track was meant to be a part of A Burial At Sea's recent album, "Close To Home." However, Broderick decided it deserved a standalone release due to its personal significance. Broderick shared that he stumbled upon an unfinished song idea from Blaney on social media, which ultimately became the foundation for their new single. "I was rather obsessed with this little clip of an unfinished song idea alternating between broken beats and sombre chord sequences," admitted Broderick. "I finally persuaded Patrick to let me build upon it. I'm delighted that it's finally out there and hope it resonates with listeners as much as it does with me." The single is available to watch on YouTube. This collaboration illustrates the exciting potential of artist partnerships in the contemporary music landscape.
