Amuse has announced the appointment of Daniel Copleston as the head of its newly launched synchronisation department. The Stockholm-based company, which specializes in services for self-releasing and independent artists, has expanded its offerings to include in-house sync services. Amuse’s digital distribution service already encompasses a range of boutique artist services, and the addition of sync aims to further support its clients with tailored licensing agreements.

With a licensed catalog that features over 8,000 recordings from more than 300 artists—including names like Yot Club, Emei, Stela Cole, and Vundabar—Amuse is positioning itself to amplify the visibility of its roster through sync placements across various platforms, including television, film, and gaming. Sean Staranka, head of artist marketing at Amuse, expressed enthusiasm about Copleston's hiring, stating, “Daniel is a fantastic addition to the Amuse team, and we are thrilled to welcome him.” The sentiments were echoed by Copleston, who noted, “Amuse artists are killing it in streaming... I’m really happy that I’m the guy they chose to make that happen.”

Before joining Amuse, Copleston worked at PIAS as the sync and brand partnerships manager, where he managed various placements. His previous experience as a sync and licensing coordinator at Cooking Vinyl further solidifies his capabilities in the new role.

The expansion into sync services comes at a time when many artists face increasing competition to reach audiences, highlighting the evolving landscape of music distribution and marketing.
