Andrew Bird and Madison Cunningham have announced a collaborative album titled Cunningham Bird, set for release on October 18th via Loma Vista Recordings. This album is a reimagining of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks' 1973 cult classic, Buckingham Nicks. The duo plans to honor the original work, which is currently out of print and unavailable on digital platforms, with fresh interpretations and a modern twist.

The first two singles, "Crying In The Night" and "Crystal", have already been made available, accompanied by music videos. Both musicians have expressed their admiration for the original album, stating that they fell deeper in love with the music the more they listened to it. They aim to encapsulate the youthful ambition and spirit present in the original work, while bringing their own perspectives to the tracks.

Produced by Mike Viola, the album is marked by the creative contributions of Griffin Goldsmith on drums and percussion, alongside the distinct sounds of Bird and Cunningham. The album will feature a sequence that mirrors the original, yet distinctively reinterpreted.

In anticipation of the album, Bird and Cunningham will perform Cunningham Bird in full at The Troubadour on September 30th, in a nod to the venue where Buckingham and Nicks once played this music shortly after its original release. Limited tickets for this concert are available starting September 20th at 12 PM PDT through artist newsletters.

For fans eager for an exclusive preview, an early playback session is scheduled at Wrensilva Listening Studio in West Hollywood on September 19th, which will include a conversation with the artists. Upcoming performances also include sets at the Infinite Dream Festival and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass.
