Anita Dobson, the wife of Queen guitarist Brian May, has provided an encouraging update regarding his health after he recently suffered a stroke. May, 77, revealed the health scare to fans on social media earlier in the month, noting that the stroke occurred unexpectedly, leaving him temporarily unable to control one of his arms. He described the episode as a "little scary" but expressed gratitude for the excellent medical care he received during this challenging time.

In a recent statement to The Sun’s ‘Bizarre’ column, Dobson informed fans that May has been instructed to get plenty of rest, though she admitted it’s a challenge to keep him from being active. "He's doing great – he's on the road to recovery, and we're very pleased," she stated, demonstrating her confidence in her husband's ability to fully recover.

Dobson added, "You have to take things slowly, chill a bit. He’s not that kind of animal!" In May's own remarks during a video update, he reassured fans that he was adhering to doctors' orders, humorously commenting on his restrictions, including avoiding any activities that elevate his heart rate. Fortunately, he affirmed that he can still play guitar, which is a significant source of joy for the musician.

This incident comes after May's previous health scare in 2020, when he faced a near-fatal heart attack caused by arterial disease. Currently, Queen does not have any concerts scheduled, giving May the time he needs to recuperate properly after the stroke. However, the official tribute band, Queen Extravaganza, is set to embark on a UK and Ireland tour in 2025 to honor the 50th anniversary of "Bohemian Rhapsody." Additionally, Queen has announced an upcoming reissue of their 1973 self-titled debut album, newly mixed and expanded for dedicated fans.
