Venezuelan artist Arca and Dominican artist Tokischa have officially unveiled their new collaborative single, "Chama." The track is designed to transport listeners straight to the dancefloor, merging aspirations with hypnotic beats that promise an immersive experience. Featuring trance-like transitions, icy reggaeton breaks, and intricate layered vocal textures, "Chama" emerges as a borderless anthem that resonates especially with those who feel marginalized or disenfranchised.

In explaining the intent behind the track, Arca shared, “This one's for all the dolls, the queens, and the good little witches. If I shine, it's for us. Courage to all my butterflies in defending softness, tenderness, magic, and sweetness in a world full of hardness. Shine without fear, chamas.”

The anticipation for "Chama" has been building since last November when images of Arca and Tokischa at Electric Lady Studios began to circulate widely on social media. Since then, the duo has made several public appearances, including a notable performance at the LadyLand Festival in New York City. Additionally, Tokischa has been incorporating "Chama" into her U.S. performances throughout May, while Arca debuted the track during her Boiler Room set in Barcelona.

Arca, known for her transgressive body of work examining themes of art and identity, has previously released the acclaimed "KICK" series, which has established her as a prominent figure in Latin American music. The release of "Chama" is further complemented by a vibrant music video filmed in Barcelona, directed by Stillz, that beautifully showcases both artists' distinctive aesthetics.
