Venezuelan artist Arca and Dominican artist Tokischa have officially unveiled their collaborative single, "Chama." The track promises to transport listeners to the deepest corners of the dancefloor, melding aspirations with hypnotic beats. With trance-like transitions, icy reggaeton breaks, and layered vocal textures, "Chama" emerges as a borderless anthem, particularly resonant for those who feel ostracized and disenfranchised.

Arca has articulated the intent behind the track, stating, “This one's for all the dolls, the queens, and the good little witches. If I shine, it's for us. Courage to all my butterflies in defending softness, tenderness, magic, and sweetness in a world full of hardness. Shine without fear, chamas.”

The anticipation for the release of "Chama" has been building since last November when images of Arca and Tokischa at Electric Lady Studios made waves across social media platforms. Since then, the duo has been seen together at a variety of events, including a notable performance at the LadyLand Festival in New York City. In May, Tokischa has also incorporated "Chama" into her U.S. performances, while Arca debuted the track during her Boiler Room set in Barcelona.

Arca has accumulated a transgressive body of work that addresses themes of art and identity, boasting an acclaimed "KICK" series that has solidified her status as a leading figure in Latin American music. The release of "Chama" is further enhanced by a music video filmed in Barcelona, directed by Stillz, which showcases both artists.
