Denmark-born, London-based artist Astrid Sonne is set to unveil a reimagined version of her album, 'Great Doubt', titled 'Great Doubt EDITS', on October 27, 2023. This new project will be released through Copenhagen's Escho and includes contributions from an eclectic group of friends and fellow artists such as Blood Orange, ML Buch, Smerz, HVAD, Valentina Magaletti, and Lolina, among others.

The album 'EDITS' builds upon the abstract minimalism present in its predecessor, which seamlessly blended avant-garde and digital-acoustic elements with sparse, programmed drum work. Sonne has expressed her vision for this reworking, stating that the edits were created by artists she admires, emphasizing a desire for freedom and creativity in their interpretations.

Listeners can look forward to an off-kilter duet with Blood Orange, an extended dubplate loop from HVAD, and a dance mantra crafted by Smerz. Additionally, the album opens with an orchestral piece by ML Buch. In her statement about the project, Sonne mentioned, "Exploring different approaches is an essential part of my practice, and it's been great experiencing the album translated and redefined through their ears."

In conjunction with this announcement, Sonne also shared a video for the track 'Staying Here', featuring footage compiled by fans from her live performances over the summer. For fans anticipating live shows, Sonne has confirmed a series of new UK and European tour dates this Autumn, with her sole London performance scheduled at Corsica Studios on October 30, 2023.
