The rapper, born Dequantes Devontay Lamar, was hospitalized in Atlanta, Georgia, where he passed away. While the cause of death remains unknown, an autopsy is scheduled for today, September 6. Rich Homie Quan was a prominent figure in the hip-hop scene during the 2010s, gaining recognition for his breakout single 'Type of Way' in 2013 and the popular track 'Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)' released in 2015, which peaked at number 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
