Catherine Fearns, a professional musician and author, has released an elegant piano cover of Lamb Of God's iconic track "Laid To Rest". This version, which takes a classical approach to the New Wave Of American Heavy Metal classic, was posted on her YouTube channel on September 6.

Fearns has garnered attention for her unique interpretations of metal tracks, showcasing her versatility as a pianist. Her channel features covers of notable metal songs, including Death's "Crystal Mountain", Carcass's "Heartwork", Def Leppard's "Hysteria", and Paradise Lost's "No Hope In Sight".

The timing of this cover coincides with the 20th anniversary of "Laid To Rest's" parent album, "Ashes Of The Wake". Earlier this year, Lamb Of God celebrated the milestone by performing the album in full during their co-headline tour with Mastodon across North America. The band has also reissued "Ashes Of The Wake", which includes a new version of the bonus track "Another Nail For Your Coffin" featuring Malevolence and Kublai Khan TX, along with remixes by various artists.

In addition to these activities, Lamb Of God recently released a new single titled "Floods Of Triton" in collaboration with Mastodon. According to Mastodon's Brann Dailor, the collaboration came about through a shared creative process that aimed to solidify the friendship between the two bands. Lamb Of God has two upcoming performances scheduled for 2024, including Riot Fest in Chicago on September 22 and the Headbangers Boat cruise from October 28 to November 1. Tickets for these events are available through their official website.
