The Kills have announced the upcoming release of their EP titled 'Happier Girls', which is set to drop on Friday, September 20, 2024. This project will feature reimagined non-electric versions of tracks from their latest album, 'God Games', alongside their take on Billie Eilish's 'Happier Than Ever.'

The EP will include the following tracks:

  1. Happier Than Ever
  2. 103 (Non-Electric)
  3. New York (Non-Electric)
  4. Better Days (Non-Electric)
  5. My Girls My Girls (Non-Electric)

Alison Mosshart from The Kills explained the impetus behind their Eilish cover, stating that they were encouraged to perform an acoustic version during a radio session with Sirius XM last year. Mosshart shared her fondness for the song, often singing it at home, leading to the decision to create an electric version of an acoustic cover.

Reflecting on the process, Mosshart stated, "It seemed like a good choice, since I loved it and loved singing it. After that radio session hit the airwaves, Laurence Bell from Domino reached out to us enamoured with our acoustic version of the song and asked us to do an electric recording. Here we were in London, recording a non-electric EP and what's the first song on it? An electric cover!"

Fans can listen to their interpretation of 'Happier Than Ever' here and revisit their previous work through the ongoing buzz around their acclaimed 2023 release, 'God Games.'

The EP will be available both digitally and as a 7” vinyl via Domino Recording Company.
