During the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards held on September 11 in Elmont, New York, Damiano David, the lead vocalist of the Italian rock band Måneskin, announced the details of his much-anticipated solo album. The album is set for release on September 27, 2024. In an exclusive interview with The Associated Press, David noted, "I've been working for a long, long time on a new project and September 27 is the date of release, so I would love everyone to stay tuned."

In this upcoming solo project, David hinted at a significant sound change, suggesting his work will differ from his previous effort with Måneskin. He stated, "There's going to be a lot of new things," but also reassured fans that the band remains his priority, emphasizing, "The band is great. We are going to work on stuff. Nothing is going to change."

Fellow band member, Victoria De Angelis, also addressed rumors of a potential breakup from the VMAs stage. De Angelis is set to release her solo single titled Get Up Bitch (Shake Ya Ass), featuring Brazilian star Anitta. Both artists are focusing on their personal projects while affirming their commitment to Måneskin.

Further stirring excitement among fans, David teased a potential new single or album through an Instagram monologue, stating, "I travelled all around the world to find my voice, just to end up where everything's started."

Måneskin's last album, Rush, debuted in 2023 and was met with a mix of reviews but garnered praise for its dynamic live performances. As anticipation builds for both David's and De Angelis's solo endeavors, the impact of Måneskin continues to resonate within the music scene.
