Dan Smith Expands His Musical Horizons with New Projects

Dan Smith, the lead songwriter of Bastille, is broadening his creative scope with the '&' / Ampersand project. This initiative involves crafting a series of narrative songs that explore various historical figures, all while employing rigorous research to enrich the lyrical content. Smith's extensive experience in achieving chart success with Bastille enhances the project's depth and authenticity.

The full '&' / Ampersand album is set for release on October 25th, with part two currently available for streaming. The project includes two captivating tracks: "Blue Sky & The Painter" and "Leonard & Marianne," both of which showcase Smith's lyrical ingenuity. Fans can tap into these songs below.

In addition to the album, Dan Smith will embark on a series of seven unique shows in seven global cities. The London concert is scheduled for November 17th at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire. Tickets for this event will be going on sale soon.

Further enriching his artistic output, Smith is launching the MUSES: An Ampersand Podcast on September 18th, collaborating with academic Emma Nagouse, known for her work on BBC Radio 4's "You're Dead to Me" and "Homeschool History." This podcast aims to delve into the lives of the characters featured in his forthcoming album.
