David Gilmour has announced that he will not perform three classic Pink Floyd songs during his upcoming concert tour. In a recent interview with Mojo, the guitarist expressed discomfort with certain lyrics from the band’s iconic catalog, stating, "There are songs from the past that I no longer feel comfortable singing."

Gilmour specifically mentioned that he would refrain from performing ‘Run Like Hell’, describing its aggressive lyrics as now feeling "a bit terrifying and violent." He also stated he would not include ‘Another Brick In The Wall’ and ‘Money’ in his setlist, noting that his previous performances of these tracks occurred during the post-Roger Waters era of Pink Floyd. He emphasized a desire to stick with songs he feels a personal connection to, such as ‘Comfortably Numb’, ‘Wish You Were Here’, and ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’.

The guitarist's upcoming tour marks his return to the stage after a lengthy hiatus of eight years. Gilmour is set to perform five shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London, among other dates in Italy and Los Angeles.

In addition to his concert announcements, Gilmour recently commented on the possibility of selling Pink Floyd's catalog, which he believes could resolve ongoing disputes stemming from past conflicts with former bandmate Roger Waters. With talks reportedly underway with Sony Music for a sale potentially worth between $400 million and $500 million, Gilmour remarked that selling the catalog would enable him to avoid the complexities of maintaining it.
