David Pajo, the influential guitarist known for his work with iconic post-rock band Slint, is set to release a new album under his solo project, Papa M. Titled Ballads Of Harry Houdini, the album will be available on November 22nd, marking Pajo’s first release in six years since his all-acoustic album A Broke Moon Rise.
Pajo has etched his legacy in modern music, not just through his work with Slint, but also via his expansive collaborations that led to the creation of a group named M, with him at the helm of Papa M. His unique approach to music spans across genres and influences, solidifying his status as a titan in the industry.
Ballads Of Harry Houdini will feature six tracks, with the new single "Ode To Mark White" already available for listeners to check out. The album is being released through Drag City, a label known for its eclectic roster of artists. Pre-orders for the album are currently open, with many eagerly anticipating the release in hopes of experiencing Pajo's signature blend of atmospheric soundscapes and profound lyricism.
